I have a lot of questions about my cat’s behavior. One of them is why she likes to burrow into me. I think it has something to do with her being a comfort seeker. She’s always been a bit of a clingy cat, but lately she’s been getting under my covers and nuzzling into my side or back while I’m trying to sleep.
It’s not exactly comfortable, but I don’t mind too much because I know she just wants some love and attention. There are a few theories as to why cats like to burrow into their humans. One is that they’re seeking out warmth since they are naturally drawn to warm places.
Another possibility is that they’re looking for security and feeling safe when they’re close to their favorite person. It could also be a sign of affection since cats typically show love by rubbing against their people or purring loudly. Regardless of the reason, it’s clear that my cat enjoys spending time close to me and that’s just fine by me.
