These implants limited his ability to use the Force, and left him with physical scars that would never heal.

Grogu eventually made his way to Tatooine, where he ended up under the care of Jawas. It was here that he met Din Djarin (the future Mandalorian), who saved him from being sold into slavery. The two formed a bond immediately, with Djarin referring to Grogu as “my little one” and taking on the role of protector and father figure.

When asked what his name was, Grogu could only remember that it started with a “G”, leading Djarin to dub him “Greedo” after a fellow Jawas’ pet Kowakian monkey-lizard (though this name was never used onscreen).
