Kid's Craft: Santa and Mrs. Claus Face Mask

Watch your children become Santa and/or Mrs. Claus with this face mask craft. I completed this with my toddler and preschooler and both did fairly well independently. If you have an older child, or are teaching older children (such as preschooler or Kindergarten), allow them to cut out their own hats as I did with my oldest.

What you need:

1. Dessert Paper Plate
2. Flesh color paint (or mix one of your own- acrylic or tempera)
3. Paint Brush
4. Cotton Balls
5. Santa Hat Template
6. Mrs. Claus Hat Template
7. Glue
8. Scissors
9. Marker
10. Popsicle Sticks

What you do:

1. Cut out two eye holes into the paper plate (adult only!)
2. Paint plate a skin tone color. Allow to dry.
3. Trace and cut out hats.
4. Glue hats to top of face.
5. Mrs. Claus: glue cotton balls to bottom of hat and to side of face for hair.
6. Santa: Glue cotton balls to bottom of hat and one at the end. I drew an outline with glue for where the beard should be and had my child fill it in with cotton balls.
7. If you have older children, roll out two cotton balls and make eyebrows.
8. Draw on nose and mouth with marker.
9. Glue half the Popsicle stick to the bottom of the mask.
10. Allow to dry.

11. Sing some Christmas songs with your child while they where their mask.
