Baby Night Diapers

Maybe I missed something over the last 4.5 years of child rearing, or perhaps I am just really naive. My little guy is now 5 months old and is all ready a chronic bed wetter. Now, I know what you are saying “he is just 5 months old!” No, it’s bad. Really, really bad. He has only slept through the night maybe a handful of times due to this nightly episode. I have never experienced this type of urine massacre with my first two children, and quite frankly I am sick of doing butt loads of unnecessary laundry and 3 a.m. outfit changes. I even wake him up right around 11 to change and feed him before I go to bed myself. Somehow the little bugger still manages to pee like Old Faithful. What’s a mom to do?
At 5 months old he is 18 lbs and 28 inches long. I have football players for boys- great genetics from my husband’s side of the family. He is currently in a size 3 diaper. At night- he becomes Super Diaper, a heaping size 6 that will help catch any spring or leak in a single bound – or – not so much. How in the world does he still leak? Does he have dreams that he is a firefighter and that he has to put out a California wild fire all by himself?
I tried double diapers. Nope. I even tried diaper liners. Notta. Have you ever seen diaper liners up close? The only thing that separates them from a maxi pad is the lack of adhesive tape and wings.  So tonight, my husband and I are gonna trust the good ole letter T by using two diaper liners. Hopefully it will help, cuz this mama has to sleep!!!!! Wish me luck!
